Enjoying Life 1KM at a time

Marathon Training W4D3 3 miles

1st Run in my New Shoes. Arches seem high as Shortmom stated in my first post regarding these shoes. My feet were ok until about half way, that’s when my right arch started cramping.  It felt like I was on the ice for 3 minutes with a brand new pair of skates. Same feeling. Very light weight 7.7 ounces. It seems like I will feel every little pebble on the road when running. The box weighs more then the shoes.

Just too clarify. My post this afternoon should have read “best $46 out of pocket”  I had a $100 gift card and they were $129+tx which came up too $146.XX I tried to edit it through my phone but it didn’t happen I guess.

The run was a 3 mile 1% incline. I started out at a 7.4mph pace and gradually built up to a 10mph pace at the end. I treated this as a normal run and not a run with brand new shoes. I have 11 miles to run on the weekend and I will not be running in these. I still need to break them in.

3 miles/4.8km 23:41  35 seconds slower then Tuesday’s 3 miler.

Pace

7:53/mile

4:56/km

Sidenote: on my way to the store I saw the first motorcycle of the year out on the road.  Tons of runners by the Rideau Canal. I chicked a guy that had a 13.1 sticker on his car while coming home the other night on the highway.

  2. shortmom said: Ah, mine is only on the left side! Weird. I think I pronate on my right side, so maybe the higher arch is helping with that so I don’t notice it as much. Only notice it when walking in them, though, not running. Which is even weirder …. mystery!
